Madhavan Is On A Roll After ‘Evano Oruvan’ And ’13 B’ !

Madhavan is riding high on the success of ’13B’, and he has all the reasons to fly. He has recently won the best actor award at the International Tamil Festival Award held in Singapore. Madhavan raced past Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Simbhu to bag this prestigious award. Madhavan won this award for ‘Evano Oruvan’ which commences Madhavan’s venture as a producer and distributor.

‘Evano Oruvan’ is a remake of the Marathi Flick ‘Dombivilli Fast’ which created a lot noise and bagged around 27 International Film awards. A source close to Madhavan says, ‘Madhavan is very happy with the response he is getting, it’s an honor to be associated with the movie.”

Adds another source, “Madhavan had seen the Marathi version and was in love with the movie and watched it more than once, the day he saw the movie he wanted remake it in Tamil.’

The International Tamil Film Award (ITFA) 2009 is a prestigious award ceremony, which brings together the cr’me of Indian Film actors to congregate in Singapore for a memorable event. ITFA was instituted to appreciate, honor and recognize all who have contributed towards the success of the Tamil film industry at an International Level.

Madhavan’s latest movie ’13B’ the much talked about horror flick that had the actor in the lead will be screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival. A source close to Madhavan says, “The expereince of working in ’13B’ was completely different. It is an unusual horror story. It is going to be a different experience of viewing for the international audience too. Also, Madhavan is glad that 13B is being screened at Shanghai as the Chinese audience will get to know what Hindi cinema is all about.”
